Protection & Safeguarding of Minors

Lyrics4Life is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, with particular attention to the safety and wellbeing of minors (individuals under 18 years of age). 

This applies to all contestants, Lyrics4Life Team Members, Volunteers and Partners.

 

Core Principles

  1. Safety First – The wellbeing of minors takes priority in all decisions
  2. Transparency – All interactions with minors should be observable and documented where possible
  3. Respect – Minors are treated with dignity and their voices are heard
  4. Accountability – All team members are responsible for upholding this policy

 

Parental Consent & Communication

A signed consent form is required from a parent/guardian for all minor participants prior to their involvement in any Lyrics4Life activity.

Parents/guardians must be provided with a contact name and number for event-day inquiries.

Any changes to a minor's participation (schedule, location, etc.) must be communicated to the parent/guardian in advance.
