Proud Members of the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition
local music scene allies
Starting a Songwriting Competition and Award Show from scratch is a tall order – and we couldn’t do it without the support of local musicians, music industry and music fans like you.
This summer Lyrics4Life.ca proudly joined with OMIC – the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition as an Amplifier Member. We're thrilled to serve as the category sponsor for the Songwriter of the Year Award at this year's Capital Music Week Awards on Friday October 9th, 2026. We'll be at the awards show - come say hi! 👋
Omic is the music scene in ottawa
OMIC represents a diverse network of artists, music professionals, businesses, and fans. As the only bilingual, member-driven music office in Ontario, OMIC works to build Ottawa’s reputation as a vibrant Music City.
The Lyrics4Life.ca team are excited for the upcoming Capital Music Week event, October 2 - 10, 2026. Join OMIC for concerts, conferences, film screenings, photography exhibits, networking events, and community activations, where the festival creates opportunities for artists to reach new audiences, access industry opportunities, and build momentum for their careers!

Lyrics4Life Songwriting Competition is pleased to welcome Jessy Lindsay from OMIC to our Selection Committee! Jessy brings both personal and professional music and songwriting experience as well as local music connections to our diverse songwriting competition panel.
The Lyrics4Life.ca Songwriting Competition and fundraiser for CHEO Foundation is just getting warmed up, and we’re joining forces with community leaders like OMIC to learn, to be seen and build something lasting and memorable.
